Training during the winter months

The temperatures are dropping and the evenings are closing in, and for some of us that makes training that little bit more difficult.  That’s why we’ve developed a range of training wear to help keep you warm in the winter and make facing those chilly mornings that little bit less of a chore.  From full length track pants, leggings and soft cosy hoodies, to mid-layers, fleeces and double skin tops we have you covered.

As well as ensuring you have the right kind of training wear to face the elements, these useful tips can also help keep you motivated until the sunnier temperatures return again:

  • Try and train with a friend, knowing your meeting someone can be the motivator to get you up and out the door
  • Try and train during daylight hours, not only is the sun at its warmest but vitamin D levels will be at their highest too
  • Make sure your prepared, if your trying to fit in an early morning class then pack your gym wear the night before, this gives you one less excuse for cancelling
  • If you can’t face working out outdoors then why not try something new, your local gym will have a wide range of indoor classes you could try
